What we do

Acting as a procurement agent, ESPO arranges contracts for the supply of energy to customers, either through bespoke contracts or as part of “group” supply arrangements combining the requirements of many establishments.

Depending on your precise requirements, ESPO will manage the procurement process on your behalf including, as appropriate:

• Development of a procurement strategy to meet your needs, taking into account market conditions and your commercial and environmental policies and objectives
• Source data collection and validation
• Preparation and issue of Invitations to Tender in compliance with EU Procurement Directives and Local Authority Standing Orders as applicable
• Analysis and evaluation of tenders, and carrying out post tender negotiation
• Consultation with clients and support of internal contract approval process, if required
• Managing contract award and debriefing unsuccessful tenderers, if required
• actively managing the changeover of suppliers
• support with disputes and queries
• periodic contract performance reviews with suppliers and clients
• provision of market intelligence information
• undertake supplier appraisal and selection
• working in conjunction with energy management officers
